Insulation of exterior walls, sound blocking insulation of rooms.
Taping, mudding, sanding, texturing.

A basic wall frame includes: the soleplate, the top plate, the studs, and in the case of walls that exceed 10 feet in length, fire blocking is required between the studs. Normally one 2x4 is used to form the soleplate, and in the case of load bearing walls, two 2x4's are stacked to form the top plate. In existing construction, interior walls that are not part of the support system will often have a one-piece top plate. Because a new partition is just a divider and not a load bearer, it can be built with a one-piece top plate as well.
Mudslingers uses Fiberglass.
Fiberglass is the most common insulation used in modern times. Because of how it is made, by effectively weaving fine strands of glass into an insulation material, fiberglass is able to minimize heat transfer. The main downside of fiberglass is the danger of handling it. Since fiberglass is made out of finely woven silicon, glass powder and tiny shards of glass are formed. These can cause damage to the eyes, lungs, and even skin if the proper safety equipment isn’t worn. Nevertheless, when the proper safety equipment is used, fiberglass installation can be performed without incident.
Fiberglass is an excellent non-flammable insulation material, with R-values ranging from R-2.9 to R-3.8 per inch. If you are seeking a cheap insulation this is definitely the way to go, though installing it requires safety precautions. Be sure to use eye protection, masks, and gloves when handling this product.
There are plenty of different types of drywall available for you to choose from for your renovation project. In fact, there are specific types of drywall that are great for performing specific tasks. For example, you can invest in a type of drywall that offers moisture resistance and the ability to prevent mold from building up. There is also a type of fire resistant drywall to invest in as well; these typically come in larger and thicker sheets.
Ceiling drywall can come in a range of thicknesses and sheet sizes to make installation easier. Installing drywall on a ceiling can be quite tricky since you have to hang it in a perpendicular fashion and with much precision. It is recommended to use half-inch or even go up to ⅝” inch thick panels to prevent sagging.
Acoustic drywall is quite the advancement in the drywall industry and is certainly fitting for soundproofing the individual rooms of your home. This type of drywall enhances its acoustic abilities with high-density gypsum, which is also usually coated with moisture-resistant materials. This helps keep the sound within the walls, rather than reverberating through to the other side.
